All our sitters are home and pet lovers. They will tend houseplants, outside tubs and small greenhouses, take messages, forward mail and have a clean, warm welcoming home waiting for you when you return. Most importantly they are friendly, accomodating, adore animals and will go the extra mile for any pets in their care as second nature.
Our sitters are trustworthy responsible people. They are reliable and conscientious; many are retitred professionals. You may feel doubtful about leaving your home and pets in someone else's hands but our sitters are of the highest intergity. Their honesty and competence will put your mind at rest.
We are not an agency and take great care in choosing our sitters. After carrying out our comprehensive vetting process they are all interviewed in their own homes, something that most similar companies do not do. We investigate three character references in writing and via telephone and check their employment history going back 20 years. We also check that they do not have a criminal record.
Only those sitters who love animals and are of impeccable character are selected. The sitters are employees of Pet and Property Sitters and therefore we are responsible for their conduct and insurance along with PAYE and National Insurance Contributions.
With the client's consent the sitter may wish to be accompanied by a partner, usually his or her spouse. This provides added security at no extra cost as there is no charge for the accompanying partner.
Your sitter will follow your advised routine and are are happy to cater for any special requirements you may have. Visitors are not allowed during sits. Pet and Property Sitters remain in contact with our sitters when they are at your home and make occasional 'spot checks' to ensure all is well.
